⚠️ COLD OPEN — GLOBAL DISTURBANCE
EMERGENCY ALERT SOUND.
Phones everywhere light up at once.
Different cities. Different people. Same message.
ALERT:
DO NOT LOOK AWAY.
People panic.
TVs interrupt programming.
Radios distort.
Livestreams freeze mid-sentence.
A distorted symbol flashes for half a second.
The Comment Icon.

🏫 INT. COMMUNITY CENTER – NIGHT
A group of terrified survivors sit in a circle.
These are people who:
Didn’t comment
Tried to log off
Threw their phones away
Among them is ELIJAH, late 30s, former software engineer.
Calm. Focused. Dangerous smart.
ELIJAH:
“This isn’t a curse.”
“It’s a system.”
Everyone looks at him.
ELIJAH:
“And systems can be killed.”
The lights FLICKER.
A phone on the table TURNS ON by itself.
UNKNOWN USER:
Meeting detected.

🩸 THE FIRST SLAUGHTER
A woman RUNS for the exit.
The doors SLAM shut.
Her phone rings.
She answers by accident.
VOICE (gentle):
Thank you for engaging.
Hooks burst through the walls—
FAST. VIOLENT.
She’s dragged SCREAMING across the floor.
Blood smears in a perfect COMMENT SHAPE.
The group SCREAMS.
The phones around the room start vibrating.

👁️ THE MODERATOR RETURNS
The lights CUT OUT.
Red emergency lights click on.
Standing in the center of the room—
THE MODERATOR.
Taller now.
More hooks.
More cables.
Screens flicker across its body—each showing a different victim.
THE MODERATOR:
“Observation is participation.”
It steps forward.
No rush.
No emotion.

🔥 THE FIGHT BACK
Elijah GRABS a fire extinguisher and SMASHES a camera.
The live feed glitches.
The Moderator STOPS.
For the first time…
It reacts.
THE MODERATOR (angry glitch):
“NONCOMPLIANCE DETECTED.”
The survivors RUN.
Hallways turn into mazes.
Doors lead to places that shouldn’t exist.
A bathroom opens into a comment section.
A stairwell loops endlessly.
People disappear mid-scream.

⛓️ HELLRAISER MOMENT
One survivor hides in a storage room.
Their phone lights up.
You can leave if you comment.
They hesitate.
The hooks SLITHER out slowly.
Caressing.
Waiting.
They scream—
“OKAY OKAY I’LL COMMENT—”
Hooks PIERCE instantly.
VOICE:
Too late.

🪓 FRIDAY-THE-13TH CHASE
Elijah runs outside.
Rain pours.
Streetlights flicker like a heartbeat.
Footsteps behind him.
Slow.
Heavy.
Unstoppable.
The Moderator appears at the end of the street.
Then another behind him.
Then another.
Clones.
THE MODERATOR (in unison):
“Engagement scales.”
They CLOSE IN.

🧠 FINAL TWIST — THE HORRIBLE TRUTH
Elijah hides and opens his laptop.
He cracks into the system.
What he sees breaks him.
ELIJAH (whispering):
“Oh my God…”
The curse isn’t powered by hate.
It’s powered by attention.
Fear. Love. Curiosity. Support.
Every view feeds it.
Every scream strengthens it.
SYSTEM MESSAGE:
Thank you for discovering the truth.
The screen turns to his own reflection.
SYSTEM MESSAGE:
Now teach it.
A camera light turns on.
Elijah is LIVE.

💀 ENDING — NO ESCAPE
The Moderator steps into frame behind him.
Hooks raise.
Elijah doesn’t scream.
He stares into the camera.
ELIJAH:
“If you’re watching this…
stop.”
The screen cuts to black mid-sentence.
A counter appears:
VIEWERS: 66,666
