Season 1, Episode 10 – “The Escape and the Fall”

Opening Scene – On the Run

Antoinette drives her SUV through the early morning fog, kids asleep in the back, bags scattered around them. Her face is tight with fear, but her eyes burn with determination.

Voiceover (Antoinette):
“For years, I carried his weight. His pain. His war. But tonight, we left it all behind. And for the first time in forever… I can breathe.”

Scene 2 – The Aftermath at the Gate

Back at the gated community: chaos. Police cars, ambulances, crime scene tape. Neighbors whisper about the shootout.

Derrick sits on the curb, blood on his shirt, wrists cuffed. He’s screaming at the officers:

Derrick:
“You don’t know who I am! They’re after me! Terrance set me up! The streets don’t forget!”

His voice cracks. For the first time, he looks small. Broken.

Scene 3 – The Safehouse

Antoinette and the kids arrive at her cousin’s house. Warm lights, family faces, hugs that feel like freedom.

The 17-year-old son, still carrying the weight of protecting his mom, finally lets his guard down.

Son (quietly):
“We’re safe now, right?”

Antoinette hugs him tight.

Antoinette:
“We’re safer without him. That’s what matters.”

Scene 4 – The Truth Spreads

Antoinette opens her notebook again. She starts typing her story into her laptop, turning her private journal into a manuscript.

Voiceover (Antoinette):
“He thought obsession and abuse would silence me. But my truth? My truth is louder. And it will be heard.”

Quick montage:

Her words filling the screen.

Flashbacks of Derrick’s control, his paranoia, his violence.

Overlay with scenes of Antoinette’s strength, her kids standing beside her, her resilience.

Scene 5 – Derrick’s Collapse

In jail, Derrick sits in his cell, rocking back and forth. He whispers names, reliving every ghost of his past.

Through the bars, another inmate smirks.

Inmate:
“Queens don’t forget, homie. You just another old head that ran outta time.”

Derrick looks down, defeated — paranoia his only companion.

Final Scene – The Crown Moment

Antoinette walks outside her cousin’s house at dawn. The sun rises over the horizon. She closes her notebook and looks directly into the camera.

Antoinette (powerful):
“This ain’t the end of my story. This is the beginning of my empire.”

Fade to black.
